It's a Family AffairCASSC Wraps Up

image

The only thing better than being able to showcase a school success is to be able to do it with family. That’s exactly what happened on CASSC’s third-annual Family Weekend, which took place in Revelstoke and included around 50 people.

Parents joined their children and friends for an overnight trip that included family dinners, lots of skiing and snowboarding, and unique inside look for parents at how the CASSC program interacts with students.

48 students ranging from grades 6 to 9 are members in the CASSC program. This year we had several advanced students in grades 10 and 11 work as coach-mentors. The club spent 10 days at Lake Louise this year and 5 days at Canada Olympic Park.

All students in the CASSC program and their family were invited to attend, which included students from grades 6 to 11. Although many of the families didn’t know each other prior to the trip, they formed bonds and became friends afterwards.

CASSC will begin re-registering for next year and bringing on new members in May.
